NO Justice for Byron

The following is meant to be informative, but in no way offer a judgment and opinion to the case.  I am trying to offer the means to information.

As politics resumed yesterday for the 1st session of the 41st Parliament, I decided to take my first stroll around the hill to chat with some of the citizens who resumed their various protests.  I decided upon a lone man draped in a Newfoundland flag with four placards lining the path to the center block.  He was quick to give me his calling card and explain his situation.

Byron Prior of Grand Banks, Newfoundland was ready to share his very intriguing story of rape and child abuse, the legal system at the center of the allegations and the political system that has been covering it up for half a century.   Byron Prior has immersed himself in a 50-year struggle to bring to justice high level political and legal figures who sexually abused his family for the better part of 13 years.  He has been standing on the steps of Parliament on and off since 2006 pleading his case.

With no intention of diminishing the complexity of the case, the basic claim is as follows:

1957-1970   Byron and his 9 siblings are subject to numerous physical, sexual and emotional assaults by family members and figures of authority in Grand Banks, NFLD.  see

1966   Byron's sister, Susan, was raped and impregnated by recently appointed 42 year old Newfoundland Justice Minister T. Alexander Hickman.  Susan Prior, aged 13, subsequently gave birth to a child, Marjorie, as a result of this rape by T. Alexander Hickman.

1960-1998   Byron makes no less than 12 official RCMP complaints.

2005  Byron is charged with Slander by Liberal MP Bill Matthews and Lawyer Steven May.

2006   There is a complete publication ban on Mr. Prior's case.  No one from government has had the decency to contact Mr. Prior since as his case sits in limbo. http://www.byronprior.com/supreme-court/
2006    Byron Prior went to Ottawa and started to demonstrate in front of Canadian Parliament, see; http://www.equalparenting-bc.ca/testimonials/prior_byron.htm
TODAY   Byron seeks DNA testing to prove, one way or the other, the truth behind the Grand Banks rapes and the subsequent cover up by the Newfoundland and Canadian government.

Visit Byron's website to hear his story and learn about his supporters...I dare say, other than our own government, there are very few detractors.

You can read Martha Jette's book 'Playing with the Devil' about the Prior case.
